PM Kisan Yojana: Here’s Everything How Farmers can Get the 12th instalment

The government of India launched the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Kisan Yojana on 24th February 2019, to provide eligible farmers with income support. As per this scheme, every farmer is provided with Rs. 6,000 yearly in three instalments of Rs 2,000 each. 

The instalments are paid between December and March, April and July, and August and November. Accordingly, the government is at the threshold to release the 12th instalment between September and November. The beneficiaries will get instalment money via a bank account having a PM Kisan Aadhaar link. 

Benefits of PM Kisan Yojana  

The advantages of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi are as follows:

  • Under this program, each farmer who meets the eligibility criteria will receive Rs. 6000 every year from the central government. 
  • The financial aid will be helpful for farmers in purchasing seeds and other stuff that are necessary to cultivate their lands. 
  • Farmers belonging to all states will receive the benefit of this scheme, excluding West Bengal.

Eligibility Criteria for PM Kisan Yojana Scheme  

Following are the eligibility criteria for PM Kisan Yojana:

  • Farmers possessing no or minimum volume of land may apply to get the benefit of this scheme.
  • Farmers who are farming on any other plot can apply for this program.
  • The income of the family should not exceed Rs. 6 Lakh annually.
  • No family member should be a government service holder. 
  • An Aadhaar card number and bank account are mandatory to apply for this scheme. 

In order to get the benefits of this scheme, farmers are required to complete the KYC process under the PM Kisan Yojana scheme. Therefore, the last date has been extended for submission from 31st March 2022 to 31st July 2022. 

How to Complete the e-KYC Process for the PM Kisan Yojana?

The steps to complete the e-KYC process for the PM Kisan Yojana scheme are as follows:

Step 1: Go to the official website of ‘PM-Kisan’ 

Step 2: Opt for ‘e-KYC’ on the screen. 

Step 3: Put your Aadhaar number

Step 4: Complete the Captcha code. 

Step 5: Press the’ Search’ button. 

Step 6: Put your mobile number linked to your Aadhaar Card. 

Step 7: Press on ‘Get OTP’

Step 8: You will get an OTP on your mobile number, which you have to put on the particular box 

Step 9: Press Enter.

With this, the e-KYC process of PM Kisan Yojana will be completed.  

How to Complete the KYC process Offline for the PM Kisan Yojana?

Those who cannot apply online can also go for the offline option by following the steps given below: 

Step 1: You must reach a common service centre (CSC) nearby your home.

Step 2: Produce your Aadhaar number and also request the officer to update it in PM-Kisan Account.

Step 3: Put your Aadhaar number and then submit the form.

Shortly, you will get an SMS notification explaining that the procedure has been completed.

To avail of the PM Kisan Yojana scheme’s benefits, an applicant must link the number of his/her Aadhaar card with this scheme. 

How to Link Aadhaar Card Number with the PM Kisan Yojana?

Remember to carry your original Aadhaar Card and a photocopy of the card when you visit your financial institution. The steps to link an Aadhaar Card Number with PM Kisan Yojana Scheme are as follows: 

Step 1: Go to the bank where your account is linked with your Aadhaar Card. 

Step 2: In front of the bank officer, you should sign on the Aadhaar Card photocopy  

Step 3: Upon necessary verification of your Aadhaar card, an online Aadhaar number seeding process will be performed by the financial institution.

Step 4: Upon successful verification of the process, you will get an SMS on your registered mobile number   

According to the rule of the scheme, having a PM Kisan Aadhaar link is obligatory to receive the instalment money credited directly to your account. So, it makes sense to consider the Aadhaar card check with the PM Kisan scheme. 

The steps to verify Aadhaar Link Status with PM Kisan Yojana Scheme are as follows:

Step 1: Go to the official online site of PM Kisan Yojana 

Step 2: Move to the farmer’s section. 

Step 3: Click on the ‘Edit Aadhaar Failure Records’ link. 

Step 4: Find your details by using your bank account number, Aadhaar number, mobile number or farmer’s name.  

A dashboard with account details will be displayed. You can verify your Aadhaar card status and ensure if it has been linked or not. 

This Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme was launched to offer financial support to every small and medium landholder’s or farmer’s family with up to 2 hectares of agricultural land.
